Pinehurst Radiology Associates & Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Settle Class Action Data Breach Lawsuits published by HIPAA on 2026-02-12. Pinehurst Radiology Associates (NC) will settle a January 2025 breach affecting 8,682 patients, exposing PHI including SSNs, diagnoses, and insurance data. The settlement provides 12 months of CyEx Medical Shield monitoring and reimbursements up to $500 per class member. Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (FL) will settle litigation over pixel‑based PHI disclosures to Meta/Google, offering 24 months of CyEx Financial Shield and $17 cash payments.

Emergency Medical Services Authority & Compassion Health Care Settle Data Breach Litigation published by HIPAA on 2026-02-13. Two U.S. healthcare providers have settled class action lawsuits over cyberattacks. Emergency Medical Services Authority (Oklahoma) will pay $1.5M after a 2024 breach affecting 611,743 individuals (names, SSNs, DOBs, service data). Compassion Health Care (North Carolina) agreed to a $600K settlement after a 2025 breach impacting 23,600 patients, exposing PHI including SSNs, insurance, and clinical data.

Threat Actors Exploit Claude Artifacts and Google Ads to Target macOS Users published by CyberSecurity News on 2026-02-14. Threat actors are abusing Google Ads and Anthropic’s Claude artifacts to target macOS users, reaching over 15,000 potential victims. Malicious guides instruct users to paste encoded commands into Terminal, which decode into scripts that install MacSync info‑stealer malware. A second variant uses a fake Medium article impersonating Apple Support, employing obfuscation tricks to bypass detection. Stolen data includes keychain credentials, browser data, and crypto wallets, exfiltrated to attacker‑controlled domains.

New Clickfix Exploit Tricks Users into Changing DNS Settings for Malware Installation published by CyberSecurity News on 2026-02-14. A new ClickFix campaign uses DNS hijacking to deliver malware. Victims are tricked into pasting malicious commands from fake error messages (CAPTCHAs, “fix this issue” prompts). The script performs DNS lookups against attacker‑controlled servers, embedding payloads in DNS responses. This stealth technique bypasses detection, ultimately installing ModeloRAT with persistence via VBScript and startup shortcuts.

PentestAgent, an open‑source AI penetration testing framework by GH05TCREW, introduces prebuilt attack playbooks and HexStrike integration. Leveraging LLMs (Claude Sonnet, GPT‑5) via LiteLLM, it supports assisted chat, autonomous agents, and multi‑agent orchestration.
